Our Saranac Side Chair, designed to pair with the Saranac 46-inch Round Dining Table, is crafted with a wide, comfortable curved seat upholstered in a stain-resistant fabric and a gently curved back rest, and we’ve eliminated any knots in its frame that could catch on clothing. Pinned mortise-and-tenon joinery ensures the chair’s strength for years of use. The Saranac Collection is a beautiful example of the sustainable use of timber, crafted from rustic offcuts of black walnut with dramatic knots, surface checks, and swirls of light and dark that are unique from one piece to the next.
NO-WORRY SEAT FABRIC: The Side Chair’s gently curved seat is upholstered in a sustainable performance fabric, so it resists stains from food and drink spills and is easier to clean!
CLOTHING-SAFE FRAME: When building our Saranac chairs and stools, we thoughtfully eliminate the rustic knots and cracks that could snag and damage the sitter’s clothes.
SUSTAINABLY CRAFTED: For the sustainable Saranac Collection, rustic offcuts of black walnut (that would otherwise be discarded!) are used for their dramatic knots, cracks, and swirls of light and dark that make every piece unique.
MODERN RUSTIC STYLE: Saranac is a clean, casual take on the rustic look. Several pieces are lightened with completely open backs, while deep bevels are the only embellishment, so the dramatic wood takes center stage.
MADE IN AMERICA: The Saranac Collection is manufactured by skilled artisans at the Stickley factory in Manlius, New York and at Stickley Fine Upholstery in Archdale, North Carolina.
