Are UltraShield fly sprays water-based or oil-based?
Water-based, so there are no oily, greasy messes with UltraShield! Our sprays come ready to use, too, so no mixing required.
Can I use UltraShield fly sprays on any animals other than horses?
It depends. UltraShield EX and Green are safe for use on dogs. UltraShield Red is safe on select livestock. UltraShield Gold and Sport are for horses only when it comes to animal use. UltraShield Gold, EX & Red are approved for premise use, also.

Here are some tips to get the most bang for your buck with UltraShield fly control sprays:
Apply to a clean horse so the spray sticks directly to the hair, not to mud or dust.Shake well before you start applying.Apply enough product to be effective, which is about 45 sprays (or 2 ounces of product) per application. The coat should feel damp but not soaked.Cover the entire hair shaft by brushing the hair up before spraying, then brush down for even coverage.
